报告摘要:The ubiquity of location-based services (LBS) makes spatial data readily available for search, analysis and retrieval. However, the overwhelming data volume and variety pose new research challenges as well as new opportunities for query processing on big spatial data. For example, the fusion of LBS and social networks has enabled a new class of geo-social group queries that integrate social factors into spatial queries. In addition, to enhance system usability and user experience, it is important to provide interactive and verifiable responses to queries. In this talk, we will present several of our recent efforts on interactive why-not queries, verifiable queries, and geo-social queries that are aimed to improve the functionality, usability, and performance of spatial query services on big data. We will also discuss some possible future research directions.
